December Update-New Art and Projects

Merry Christmas! Come on in, I've put some kindling on the fire and poured you a cup of hot cider. My official Christmas blog will appear on Paul Cornell's blog on Christmas Eve. I will be bringing Gold, Myrrh, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme. So, for now, here's some art:

My 5-year old son and I took a crack at the 12 Days Of Christmas in 12 unique art styles. This is improvisational art and we don't prescribe to your rigid, conformist standards of art:

2011 was a..... difficult year. I've been stricken with a health condition that leaves me in permanent, constant pain. I just smile and keep going but most of the time I struggle and I don't want to do anything. I make art because I don't know how to do anything else. sigh. I've been going to the Orafacial Pain Clinic now for a year. If medication doesn't work I'll have to get microvascular decompression surgery. I hope I'm a candidate for the surgery because the pain is totally a major bummer.

In order to pay bills, I've been trying to make it easier for people to buy original art so I'm starting to photograph and list artwork, starting with The New York Five. You can view The New York Five artwork here.

Here's some project updates. I'm drawing Saucer Country. It's coming along.

The long-awaited Funrama #2: It's basically done. I just have to letter the book and do a cover and it's finished. So stay tuned, It's 95% done. I hope you'll buy it. Eventually all of Funrama will be available online.

Get this: I'm working on a comic that will be a free weekly, online comic. Yes, that's what I said. I'm penciling and lettering it now. Should I say what it's called? No, I can't. Okay, I will, It's called Cocotte. I hope I can stick with it and make it happen. I just need a website person to make me a website.

And I'm literally inches away from starting a new limited series for a certain publisher with a certain writer. BROADWAY! I can't say much yet.

And there's another mini-series I'm drawing that I'm very excited about. Soonlyish I hope.
